'risk (risk)
Acrylic on Wooden Panel
12in x 36in
We build homes and our hearts in our comfort zones
Afraid to step out
Terrified of what could happen
Petrified of that which is unfamiliar
We stay in unhealthy relationships
In cities which we no longer see opportunity in
In versions of ourselves that we don't even like
Why?
Because to jump into the unfamiliar
Is far more terrifying
Than staying in a toxic familiar
The unknown is daunting
But it is thrilling
When you look past your comfort zone
You embrace the chaos
The chaos that exists now
The chaos that may come
The chaos within yourself
Take the risk
Whatever it may be
There is no way to tell
Whether it will work out how you've imagined
But you will have taken that chance
That shot
That opportunity
And you grow from it
