ˈrādiēnt (radiant)
Dull and desolate the sky used to be
Dark clouds followed me around
Stalking my every movement
Never fast enough to escape their gloom
Rain pouring underneath my umbrella
There was nowhere to hide
From the misery that flooded my mind
Until one day I saw the light in your eyes
And the sun began to shine
The clouds dispersed
Releasing the azure blue of the sky
A sight truly difficult to conceptualize
Unsure how to identify
The sensation that is building inside
Colors of the world radiate
No longer disguised
Your smile is the greatest surprise
This beauty must signify
That my soul has been opened wide.
