The strange creature with three large, beady eyes flew down from the sky to say hi. It peered down at me and shook my hand. A golden crown full of smoke and aventurine stones sat above the uniquely shaped head that it carried. Telling me stories of places it had been. How it sailed here from another land. Where it would like to go again. This creature was drawn to the mess of me. It stood on top of an awful beast who refused to shift it's eyes away from my feet. The monster carried a jaw the size of my head and the tail of a scorpion, waiting for it's masters go ahead. Even in my wildest dreams I have never imagined such odd circumstances could confine me. That is when I realized that maybe this wasn't a dream after all. This creature was a part of my soul that I long ago set free and now it was back for me. - Emily Minor
